The company was founded in 1988 by couple Thora and Hafsteinn after a request for a special design project that sparked the production of Beitir and after many years of product development and design, the company has become one of the most powerful companies in Iceland in the field of special construction and design for small boat owners as well as the implementation of projects for major shipbuilding, fish processing and land-based projects. Today, Beitir sells to several countries, including Denmark, Norway, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Canada, etc.
