Aalborg becomes a global hub in October

In just under a month, the fishing trade fair DanFish International will be back in full force. Thousands of visitors from all over the world are once again ready to explore the 11,000 square meters of exhibition space and exchange knowledge in Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center (AKKC) October 10-12, 2023, where the fair for the 28th time creates an important international meeting point.

Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center (AKKC) is always buzzing with life and activity during the three days of the fair, and this year it will once again be business as usual, now that COVID-19 no longer affects DanFish International. This pleases the many international exhibitors who are looking forward to returning to Aalborg.

– DanFish is an important global trade show that attracts partners, customers and colleagues from all over the world. Despite having recently emerged from the pandemic, the previous DanFish event was a remarkable success. We look forward to our return to Aalborg this year and beyond, says Francis Parrott from Canadian electronics company Notus, a long-time exhibitor at DanFish International.

However, it’s not just the foreign exhibitors who are excited.

– For us, Thyborøn Trawldoor, DanFish is a big deal. It’s the largest international exhibition, well attended by decision makers from all over the world, and even better that it’s right here in Denmark. At DanFish, we really get the opportunity to show the world what Danish craftsmanship, quality and development are all about, says Henrik Andreassen from Danish trawl door manufacturer Thyborøn Trawldoor.

Welcome to the world
This year, DanFish International will be officially opened by AKKC’s CEO Nicolaj Holm, who together with Svend-Erik Andersen, Chairman of the Danish Fishermen’s Association PO, the main organization for Danish fishermen, and Henrik Mørkholt, Chairman of the Board of Danish Export, will welcome the more than 400 exhibitors and thousands of guests from no less than 50 different countries who are expected to attend the fair.

DanFish International is a major event for the fishing industry as it creates a great opportunity to meet peers, customers and suppliers from all over the world, exchange experience and knowledge, and see the latest innovations in fishing equipment and technology. With almost fifty years of tradition, DanFish International has grown over the years and established itself as one of the world’s most significant and international fishing equipment trade shows, consistently attracting visitors and exhibitors from all over the world.

This year, the fair offers an exciting and varied program that includes seminars, networking meetings and lectures on everything from AI-driven fishing technology to green transition and energy efficiency of fishing vessels, and much more that will give participants a rewarding and inspiring experience for DanFish International 2023.
